Gun laws work in Hawaii in the same way they would work in the entire country if the same laws had been in place for the same amount of time.

More guns means, guess what? MORE PEOPLE GET SHOT.

Again....it is not the guns....Switzerland proves that without a doubt.
Whatever reasons you claim about Switzerland does not mean they don't have tons of guns.

Do you mean to say, that there was only one gun on the scene?

That is not a good example of more guns shooting more people.

Pure bullshit. More guns mean more guns will eventually end up in the wrong hands, and then more people get shot.

Swiss gun laws would be a fair start, but the assholes in the NRA refuse to allow that.

    Getting everyone trained in gun safety and proficiency would be right up top of  the NRA wish list.

Well, the ONLY law you seemed to have obsessed over by the Swiss, is the registering, which even you haven't demonstrated how it would stop even one person from getting shot.  The one that Plane was trying to explain that the NRA would likely support, as part of the Swiss model, is mandatory military service (NOT a draft), simply a set # of years serving in the military.  You seemed to have poo poo'd over that.

  That may be the one bit of the Swiss program  that you like, but I do not see it as the important part.
A trade could be made .

If the NRA and all the people in agreement were pleased with a government program that trained almost everyone and subsidized the distribution of guns .

Then they might accept along with that a registration program , at least a mild one like the Swiss one.

  Don't you know that the Canadians are attempting to register all of their firearms , and the program is an expensive fiasco that can't be shown to have prevented one crime nor assisted in the solving of more than a half dozen.

I am positive that all the "research" about the Canadian program emanates from the NRA.

Therefore, I do not believe you. The NRA is a cancer on the body politic of this country. Hateful jerks who will do anything to peddle guns and ammo to simple-minded dolts.
