I doubt that anyone is going to outlaw a weapon that used rubber bands. Like your Red Ryder Daisy BB gun, this is not going to be banned, at least unless some pervert uses it to kill children or something.

The local cops here probably would not have a clue as to what it was until it was fired. Especially the Rentacops.

It would be stupid to take it to the mall, just like it would be stupid to tote your Red Ryder Daisy BB gun to the mall.
