Another quick comment about mercenaries...

The definition of "mercenary" used in the "Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949" says that a mercenary is paid "material compensation substantially in excess" to the soldiers in the combat. If the Blackwater guys were not paid "substantially in excess" of our troops in combat areas, then they are not mercenaries anyway.
