Title: Bill Cosby
Post by: Kramer on September 08, 2010, 11:30:18 AM
'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.

I can't even talk the way these people talk:

Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.

And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.

The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.

These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.

$500 sneakers for what?

And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.

Where were you when he was 2?

Where were you when he was 12?

Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?

And where is the father? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?

People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?

What part of  Africa  did this come from??

We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about  Africa  .....

I say this all of the time.  It would be like white people saying they are  European-American.  That is totally stupid.

I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents.  I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to  Germany  ,  Scotland ,  England , Ireland , or the  Netherlands  .  The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to  Africa  .  So stop,  already! ! !

With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap ......... And all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.

We have got to take the neighborhood back.

People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.

We have millionaire football players who cannot read.

We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.

Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.

We have to start holding each other to a higher standard..

We cannot blame the white people any longer.'
Dr.. William Henry 'Bill' Cosby, Jr., Ed..D.

If Bill Cosby is a traitor to his race what would that make Obama?

The DEMOCRATIC Party, (get the name right, you towering buffoon) does not teach anyone Ebonics or require anyone to wear any orange suits.

I agree with Cosby, but he needs to put his points across  in a more positive way if he wants to accomplish any changes. As it is, he does not seem to be making a lot of headway.

This is not so much a racial issue as it is a class issue within the Black community itself. As a rule, White people tend to think that all Black people are alike, when this is simply not true. The American culture is anti-intellectual, both among White and Black people. It is simply more obvious to White people when Black people's "bling" differs from White people's "bling". I would say that Angelina Jolie's tattoos are no less ugly on her than some of the Black people's tattoos are ugly on them And on her, they stand out. Tattoos are by nature ugly on anyone. So is deliberate ostentation.

You cannot blame anyone who is good at playing football for taking an NFL job that pays the big bucks. The problem there is with the NFL and the state universities that graduate or otherwise presume to educate football and basketball players.

It is somewhat ridiculous that pro baseball players do not need attend college at all, anywhere, but football and basketball players are supposed to have college diplomas simply because of the way that pro sports developed in the US. I don't see where a university education has much to do with any ball sports.

It actually might do a rapper or hiphopper more good to know something about literature than a ball player.

Maybe Cos needs to come up with another show like "Fat Albert". And his sitcom as well as "It's a Different World" seemed to get a lot of respect in the Black community. The truth is that Cos is preaching, and preachers have a polarizing effect on people: they either agree, or they ignore the message.

Cosby might have learned from you how to put his points across  in a more positive way...

Boy doesn't that help sum it the view of the white liberal elitest.  No wonder folks like Cosby, Sowell, and Williams are seen as "uncle toms".  They're supposed to all be alike

What's with this perseveration of "orange suits"??

I am not sure that the words "perseveration has anything to do with any hue of suit.
I merely quoted the previous post. I do not know whether the term "orange suits" refers to exceptionally tasteless clothing or to the custom of prisons dressing prisoners in clothes that resemble orange hospital scrubs.

Of course, orange BLAZERS are worn by old White dudes to Florida delegations at Kiwanis conventions.

I would not put Cosby in the same classification as Sowell or Thomas.
Thomas Sowell is actually named "Thomas", as is Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Odds are they have a nephew or a niece somewhere, I'd say.

Speaking from experience, I can tell you that "Thomas" among American Black people as an extremely rare first name, especially among those born after 1960 or so. You are about as likely to meet a woman named "Jemima" as a man named "Thomas".

As a last name it is fairly common.

Not too many 'Benjamins', either.

Among the Black people on the faculty at my university, a lot of professors agreed with him.

Why of course orange BLAZERS are worn by old White dudes to Florida delegations at Kiwanis conventions but what does that have to do with anything regarding the issue that Cosby is trying to bring to the forefront?

Do you think it's funny that the millions black people in this country are pretty much up shit creek and not only ruining their lives but taking this entire nation down the tubes with them? Doesn't the urgency strike you at all or are you are as UNconcerned as Nancy, Harry and Barry about it and just think they are human debris worth using to collect votes? Blacks are pretty much useful idiots to people like you. So all day long you will call people like me racist but you just sit around and crack jokes at their black people expense. What a guy you are.

Never said it did.  it was specific to your recent repetition of bringing up this suit, which happens to be orange.  Almost like an infatuation.  Much like you had with Rush.  You've used in in several of your last responses, and in different threads.  Just curious as to what's the significance.  Why its repetition?

No the orange suit talk merely represents an opportunity to change the subject. Democrats have done nothing to help black people, on the contrary they use and abuse them, and treat them like helpless morons which in many ways is exactly what the Democrat Party has turned many of them into. God forbid Democrats admit they have ruined so many black people lives.

While its been Xo that kept referring to Orange Suits in multiple posts/threads, him having originated it in this one as well.  Yet has been unable to educate us on the "why".  Ironic for a teacher, isn't it

Would you expect anything else from a person so gullible to be tricked into voting for Obama? Only someone dumber than a rock or a racist would vote for Obama; XO is both.
