Times like this I severely miss MT.

I am trying to imagine his reaction to this, and I really can't .

Canadian government discovers that a registry of rifles is not usefull.

Hmmmmm....

In spite of increasing gun controll, violent crime in Canada is declining.

Canada's murder rate is still only a third of that of the US.

If registering deer rifles does not deter crime, then there is no reason to require that they be registered. But it does not mean that in a different country with a different culture, deer rifles could be used in murders.
