Title: Doesn't everyone have an "Uncle Joe"?
Post by: sirs on August 15, 2016, 08:12:44 PM
....you know, the uncle that has a bit of dementia, that you really try very hard to have him seen in public, and only bring him out during holiday dinners?

Well, there he was......Joe Biden at a Clinton rally, with Clinton sitting behind him, proclaiming how of all people Clinton was someone you "could trust with the super secret nuclear codes".  So super secret in fact, that he then had to point out the gent behind him as the actual fella that actually carries them,..... in the event something were to happen with Obama, of course.

Way to go, Joe     ;D

But C...did you get the juiciest irony of that post?.......There was Biden, pointing directly to the person, who was actually carrying these now not so super secret nuclear codes  It was Uncle Joe walking into the family room, with his fly open

The secret is not that the president has the secret codes.
Everyone knows that there are codes.
Anyone with a brain would know that they are secret.
The secret is the code itself.

Here is another SECRET: FORT KNOX IS LOCKED UP!

No, ONE of the secrets, is you're not supposed to know who has them.  And there was Uncle Joe pointing it out, for the world to see.  Gotta love those demented family members.  They mean well....but.....there's a reason they're mostly kept out of sight

And, no, its no secret Fort Knox is locked up.  I can only imagine where you got that hair-brained notion

How could the president NOT have the secret codes? Why would anyone assume that he did not?

So everyone knows that the president has the "secret" codes, but it is somehow treasonous for VP Biden to state that there are secret codes and the President has them?

What is your point?

The codes are secret because the president knows them and no one else apparently does, not because no one knows that they exist.

The point is oh master of denseness....WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHO IS CARRYING THEM.

It not about Biden stating we have them, its pointing out WHO'S CARRYING THEM

oy vey

Why should the President not have the codes?  Who better than he?

What the frell are you talking about?   Obama has nothing to wirh this.  It's the fella behind Biden, who NO ONE IS SUPPOSED TO KNOW IS CARRYING THE SUPER SECRET NUCLEAR CODES.  Good gravy

Finally ran out of deflections, and simply moved on to personal insults.   Thank you for the validation of the point being made about your "Uncle Joe"

(And for the linguistically impaired, that's rhetorical, not literal, since obviously Biden isn't related to anyone here)

It is not a deflection to state that the President should personally have his codes with him. You apparently think that the president should go around with a posse of possible code carriers, only one of whom has the codes.

That is just stupid. It makes no sense.
If you believe that. then you are an idiot.

It is a deflection when the President HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE POINT BEING MADE

What is the point being made?
So many of your posts are utterly pointless messes of snark.

Wash....rinse....repeat (for the linguistically challenged)

Obama has nothing to with this.  It's the fella behind Biden, who NO ONE IS SUPPOSED TO KNOW IS CARRYING THE SUPER SECRET NUCLEAR CODES.  Good gravy

Is it a number that Joe Biden could memorize?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2515598/Launch-code-US-nuclear-weapons-easy-00000000.html

For nearly 20 years, the secret code to authorize launching U.S. nuclear missiles, and starting World War III, was terrifyingly simple and even noted down on a checklist.

From 1962, when John F Kennedy instituted PAL encoding on nuclear weapons, until 1977, the combination to fire the devastating missiles at the height of the Cold War was just 00000000.

This was chosen by Strategic Air Command in an effort to make the weapons as quick and as easy to launch as possible, as reported by Today I Found Out.
