Trust him. He'll keep all the promises he intended to keep...

So he will tell them what they want to hear which will make them feel better about supporting the bill but in the end he will do what he wants to do and then they can say that they voted for the bill because of his promises but don't hold them accountable if the promises he made are broken. and everybody has an out and they all can point fingers at everyone else.
That is why they so desperately want Repubs on board so when the shit hits the fan they can blame Repubs.

I hope they are blamed for not supporting the HC Bill in it's current form.

The SOP will be to blame the GOP for anything wrong....if it doesn't pass, despite democrat majorities, it's because of the Republicans.  If it does pass, and the economy takes yet another nose dive, it'll be because the Republicans didn't fully support the legislation or the President, as was needed to "make it work"
