Was Kim Ill Jong allowing his son to make a kill?

Nicely speculated.

It's as good a guess as any.  IMHO, nobody's got any answers.  My own guess is that this is revenge for something that the South did, but we may never know what.  A lot of South Korean shit goes unannounced by both sides because the South doesn't want to appear as an aggressor and the North doesn't want to admit it's been hit.  A veteran sea captain who sees credit for a successful attack going to some punk kid would not be a happy camper, and his friends and service buddies wouldn't feel too good about it either.  Which is why I don't really buy into this "take your kid to work" explanation.  Still, nobody knows.
