yes Plane it is sad growing impersonal trend....
it will only get worse as the younger generation takes over
it will however create pockets of oppotunity for people to succeed by offering real customer service
at our company we offer both on-line order entry and live Amercian human being customer service reps
in fact we are so opposed to customers not being able to speak to a live person
that we dont even have voice mail as a part of our phone system
if you call....you will always get a live person....24 hours a day....365 days a year
if we get flooded with calls we have a doorbell that goes off all over our office space
and if anyone...mgt, owners, people on break...hear that bell go off
they are to pretty much race back to their desks.
NOTHING...is more important than making sure the customer hears a live voice
it's sad when sites like American Airlines "hides" their telephone number
to discourage phone call customers.....many web sites do that these days
not ours....it's in big block lettering...and that will NEVER-EVER change!
