That's about the length of any credibility he has now, as it relates to any foreign policy
-
There is nothing better that the US can do about the Russia/Ukraine conflict that would be any more effective than what the President has done.
Military support for Ukraine would clearly be against the interests of most Americans, and Ameroicans would almost all oppose it, and that is all that could be done.
Give it a rest, already.
-
Here's a word of advice to folks like Xo, and the POTUS (no, I realize he doesn't read this, its rhetorical)....Credibility means something...especially to our allies & enemies. If you say don't cross this line, and they do, you better be able to back up the "or else". If you had no intention to back your word up, don't make the declaration to be begin with
THAT'S something he could have done better of, and why his foreign policy is nearly as bad as Obamination care
-
I would not have said do not cross any lines, because everyone and his dog knew that the US would never intervene in any useful way.
But I really do ot think this made a bit of difference except to the Foxclown Forum.
-
It makes a huge difference to both our allies and enemies, when they know we now have no credibility they can attach their actions onto
-
Everyone knew that Obama was not going to do anything to prevent Putin from grabbing Crimea. No American in his right mind would risk his butt to defend Crimea. Nor=t even Crimeans seemed all that concerned.
This is a non issue of no importance. More Foxcrap
-
No, everyone didn't know that Obama couldn't be taken at his word. They do now
-
Everyone and his dog knew that the US was not going to defend Ukraine from Russia.
Your poor grasp of how politics works makes you say dum crap like this and think it is important, but it isn't.
-
No, everyone didn't know that Obama couldn't be taken at his word. They do now. That's called reality, which trumps how politics works
-
Bah. There was NO ONE who thought that the US would take any measures other than personal sanctions. The American people are not willing to sacrifice anything to keep Crimea in the Ukraine? Are you?
The Ukraine has not exactly demonstrated that it is capable of any sort of adequate self-rule.
-
Not talking specifically about sanctions...talking about credibility in saying something, but with no inention of backing it up. In other words, Obama's word means squat as it relates to anything he claims/pledges, be it in the eyes of our allies or enemies. Just read where the Russians are now pushing their bombers into our air space, knowing that Obama won't do a damn thing about it.....aside from unfriending Putin on Facebook
-
What bombers?
You are making up stuff, aren't you?
-
In the early parts of WWII the Nazi government accused the Polish of mistreating the German speaking residents of Western Poland.
Historians in Europe should be feeling DejaVu very strongly.
WWII started with little bites of near neighbors , lots of popular support within the invading nation ,and ineffective protestations from the nations of the "free world".
If Putin is smarter than Hitler, perhaps he can grow Greater Russia a good bit and quit when he is ahead. Then he could retire and be known as "Putin the great".
I suppose that Hitler knew how to avoid the errors that Napoleon made ...Not.. too bad big guy, history does not remember Hitler as great.
The dynamic situation is one we have seen before , but before we go to Munich, did we learn from the last time?
-
What bombers?
You are making up stuff, aren't you?
If I demonstrate that fact, are you going to rationalize how its perfectly ok?... pull out the "nothing to see here, move along" card?
-
Napoleon's errors were to invade a country whose vastness and climate he could not comprehend with technology that required technology that did not exist. Hitler's main error was to fight a two front war: that was essentially Kaiser Wilhelm's error.
Munich is not a proper analogy here: Ukraine was a part of Russia since the first of the Czars. It is clearly within the Russian sphere of influence: more so than Manitoba is in the US sphere.
-
No, everyone didn't know that Obama couldn't be taken at his word. They do now

*Like*
-
Just an opinion.
Not a bright one, either.
-
I wouldn't be so hard on your opinion. Most often wrong, but I wouldn't imply dumb
So as it relates to the supposed "made up bombers" comment, couldn't help but notice it went unanswered. I'll endeavor to ask again...If I demonstrate that fact about Russian bombers, are you going to rationalize how its perfectly ok?... pull out the "nothing to see here, move along" card?
See, if I don't answer it, you'd claim I made it up, as if it was something big if it were to have happened. If I do answer it, just want to see what your other tact is going to be
-
Are there Russian bombers buzzing your massage parlor in San Diego, sirs? Is that what is troubling you?
-
No.
Now that I've answered your question, are you going to ever answer mine?
-
Why should I I have no idea what it is.
Usually your "questions" are things you want me to agree with to boost your faltering ego. I have never understood why you are always seeking agreement. You might ask yourself the same question.
-
Why should I I have no idea what it is.
What bombers?
You are making up stuff, aren't you?
If I demonstrate that fact, are you going to rationalize how its perfectly ok?... pull out the "nothing to see here, move along" card?
Notice the question doesn't require you to agree with anything, merely demonstrate if my reference about Bombers is important, thus the justified question of am I making it up, or that its no biggie, thus making your question about making it up rather unnecessary
-
I think you should answer your own questions.
That way, you are going to get an answer you are sure to like.
Ask and answer in different voices. Use puppets. Be creative!
And watch out for Russian bombers.
-
I'm not looking for an answer I like. I'm looking for an answer that's honest. If its impossible for you to be honest...well, I can respect that. Just be honest with your inability to be honest, I suppose
-
Honesty has nothing to do with any of this.
-
Honesty has everything to do with this, and any questions I ask ::)
-
Why would you or anyone say that?
I am not obliged to answer your eternal cryptical questions. You already have an answer for them, you are only trying to play some idiotic ego game that I choose to ignore. I have never promised to "debate" you about anything, nor do I have any obligation to do so.
-
Why would you or anyone say that?
Because I'm being honest....wow, what a concept
I am not obliged to answer your eternal cryptical questions.
You're not obliged to do anything but breathe. This is called a debate forum. People ask questions to facilitate debate. If the rather simple questions asked are too "cryptic", you can request clarification. But any answers are merely to generate honest responses, not something I simply "like". If you are incapable of that level of honesty, and can only respond with immature snarking & demonizing based on nothing more than they don't agree with your politics....well, I feel sorry for you. :'(
-
You are not honest, you are simply on some sort of ego trip to humiliate anyone who disagrees with you.
I have no obligation to answer your questions. You have all the answers to your own questions, and even if I agree with you you will figure out some reason to be mean and snarky.
-
Why....do you feel humiliated?
Putting aside the fact I already said you had no obligation to do anything but breathe, so why you're bring that up again demonstrates this unending need to devert attention away from what's actually being said...which is simply this. If a question is asked, any answer should be honest, minus the knee jerk deflections and demonization attempts. Otherwise, you're better off simply ignoring it all together. You won't come across as so desperate and/or ignorant to the topic at hand
-
Now you are telling me that I have some obligation to answer your dumb questions, and not only that, but you are telling me how I must do it.
The one who looks pathetic and ignorant here is YOU, sirs.
-
DID I NOT JUST SAY YOU HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO DO ANYTHING BUT BREATHE?? CAN YOU NOT READ?? DID YOU NOT SEE THE CLEAREST OF CLEAR PART WHERE YOU COULD SIMPLY IGNORE THE QUESTION POSED, THUS AVOIDING THE MESSY REQUIREMENT TO ACTUALLY MAKE ANY SENSE?? Good Gravy :o
-
Sirs , I think I saw your goat.
XO has it.
-
lol....perhaps....though the humor did allude me
