That's sure going to put a crimp Cruz & Rubio's references of how not-so-conservative Trump is supposed to be.
The left can bad mouth Palin all they want. Conservatives know her credentials, and she's not one to throw her credibility on those credentials out the window. This could be a game changer with the upcoming Iowa Caucus & other primaries. The game change being that Trump now becomes the presumptive GOP nominee for President

I really like Sara Palin, she is funny and wise.
But if we are looking at President Trump and Secretary of the interior Palin in a year from now, I will be pretty surprised.

Palin knows that there are no chances of her ever getting elected to anything again. She was a QUITTER, who quit for reasons of personal greed. She is ignorant and detenrmined to saty that way. And she is a wilting flower., so the letches in the T ea Party will son look eleswhere for their masterbatory fantasies. So it makes sense to link herself to Trump, who appeals to the same ignorami as she does.

uGh, Trump still isn't my favorite, things like this make me think he would jump the shark if only he could.
But I do get an idea of why he is appealing, he is so totally out of the PC pale.
Lots of people feel put upon and restricted , the narrow limiters on freedom rankle.
So yea , I also like to see Sara Palin and DJT kicking sacred cows and pushing over fences.
This isn't what I want in a president , but I have a greasy good feeling that it is happening.
If only I could have this marvelous spectacle and wind up with a good president also ,....
Hope the one doesn't rule the other out.

Palin is not fed up with politicians, she is just spewing her usual nonsense. Her speeches are entirely to solicit contributions, and perhaps to wangle some sort of sinecure should Trump manage to get elected. She has nothing to lose, in a nation of 330 million, there are many who are so fucking stupid they believe her nonsense, just as there are a lot of old farts who have fantasies about My Little Pony to the point of dressing in horse costumes.
There are a lot of people who actually paid retail for her SECOND ghostwritten book. Those are her fans.
Again, there is no hope that she will ever be elected again, or even allowed by the GOP to run as a candidate for anything.

Palin would have to win a primary at least. That means that she would have to convince a plurality of voters to vote for a woman known to simply quit the job she was elected to.

The way you prevent someone from running is by convincing their donors to not donate to their election.
Both parties in the past have prevented candidates from running. They are more sophisticated now in their tactics. Obvioulsy, they will not publically refuse anyone from running.
The GOP canned FL senator Mel Martinez from its chairmanship, then forced him out of the Senate. They did this by getting some fatcats to hire him as a lobbyist in return for ending his Senate career.

That's not the same as claiming the GOP wouldn't allow her to run. If she were to run, she'd get a ton of support from Tea party folk and a vast majority of conservatives. It doesn't require a GOP Establishment endorsement. Hell, that's exactly why Trump is doing that well. The GOP establishment hates him, because they can't control him. Are they "allowing him" to run? ::)

They are clearly trying to prevent him from getting the nomination. If he somehow gets shot by some crazed nut between now and November, I will not be surprised. The CIA has recipes for making crazed nuts.

Palin lacks the money to launch a campaign. To prevent her from running, all they have to do is to suggest that if they donate money to Palin, things might not go well for them. No one donates major money unless they have a reason to do so, and their reasons mostly are related to money. The best reason to deny her a chance to run is that she cannot win, and her candidacy will be a waste of campaign fund money.

Palin has some sort campaign fund and has been accepting money from fools for some time now.
I doubt that the GOP will ever have to prevent her from running, as I don't think she will ever run for anything again.

Palin is a resident of Alaska, which has just one (1) representative. And Palin is certainly loathed by the Republican Party of Alaska. She is a QUITTER. She elected governor, and she REFUSED TO DO HER JOB. And her decision was not based on politics, but on her own monetary ambitions. She made SUCKERS out of all those people who voted for her. She turned out to be a Betsy Wetsy that refused to Wetsy.
Most states require that their congressmen actually LIVE in the district, which certainly makes sense. She could not be elected to any national office and will not be. She does not actually stand for anything except being "against Washington". She would be as useless as that other ditz, FORMER (with an emphasis on the former) Michelle Bachmann, who did nothing useful in Congress except exhibit major religious nutball insanity.
Palin is POLITICALLY DECEASED, DEAD. Like John Cleese's parrot. She is through. I really doubt that she has even the ability to make it as a rightwing radio rantster. It would be fun to mock her, however. She is essentially doomed to be the Official Rightwing Piñata.

The point is that the success of a candidate depends on the candidate getting funds. If all of the multitude of reasons why Hillary is unacceptable as a candidate were enough to cause some fatcat to fund a different candidate, then such a candidate would be funded, regardless of what Hillary's supporter's did, just as the annoying Gingrich found Macau casino operator Adelson to almost entirely fund his campaign against Romney. If an alternative candidate manages to get huge numbers of small contributors, as Bernie has done, the same thing happens. There was apparently no way for Romney supporters to "shoo away" Adelson. Hillary supporters cannot "shoo away" Bernie's contributors.
Once the money is present, then reporters begin to talk up support among competitors.
It is an obvious point.
