GAUCHE {gosh}  (adjective)   Deficient in conventions of social behavior; tactless; boorish; crudely insensitive; tasteless; graceless; uncouth; tacky.

Example:  On the second anniversary of Katrina, George W. Bush appears in New Orleans, in perhaps his most gauche act of public disregard . . .
