I saw this movie yesterday with my daughter. It's a remake of a Omega Man starring Charlton Heston. The premise is an interesting one, if not original. What's more scary than being the lest person on Earth? Being the last person on Earth who's not a flesh eating ghoul!
Before you know he's not alone the film is interesting. He's alone in New York City searching for food, meat, and anyone else who hasn't contracted the virus he helped to create.. Then we meet "them". The special affests where terrible. The sick people looked cartoonish, and the ending was terrible.
Save your money.

Actually, it's not.
Both Omega Man and this movie were based on the same book, however.

I'm sorry, but if it's not actually a remake, it's certianly a knock off.

It's neither; they're both based on the same book. It's my understanding that the latest movie is closer to the book than Omega man, however.

it`s the 4th movie from the book
last man on earth -vincent price
omega man-charlton heston
I am omega- unknown
I am legend-will smith
1st 3 were low budget b movies
I think it was a bad idea to put spend too much money on a book that inspired 3 b-movies
and the 3rd is a martial arts action flick
