most are low quailty camcorder crap.

That'd be like the phone company restricting you to only 100 calls a month.

Once upon a time there was a move to charge content providers for the excess bandwidth they used shipping their content down the channel.
But the "net neutrality" folks bought these companies (Google, Vonage, MS, Facebook and YouTube) horror stories that the telephone companies were just greedy bastards and they should leave the net free.
So now the consumer will have artificial limits placed on their net use and end up paying premiums if they go over.
And so it goes.

the problem is comcast thinks that 250 gb is a very high limit(it is)
but the presence of it will annoy them to leave
what`s not mention is the throttle also limits the daily download
a friend mine says he has to shut down in less than an hour or it`ll activate than wait awhile than do it again.
comcast is gonna get hurt from this

Music takes up relatively little bandwidth. The big bandwidth hogs nowadays are HD streams. If you take a movie at "standard" resolution, 90 minutes will be roughly 600MB. The same movie in 720p will be over 4GB (greater than 6 times as much).
And many porn torrents nowadays are switching over to HD. Porn is always on the bleeding edge of tech.

You miss my point.
The backbone and isps wanted to have a two tier system. They wanted to recoup the infrastructure upgrade costs from the content providers who were forcing the upgrades. The content providers were in essense abusing the system.
They paid the same as the folks at DG yet pushed 1000's of times the bits and bytes.
So in the end we pay.
because the neutrality guys sold you a bill of goods.

but hd is so large you need to buy extra stuff to handle it.
unless people are not bothering to burn stuff and are continueing buying hard drives to load it.
blueray burners are too new for most to buy yet.
and at this time some of the hd stuff is not very playable now
ex. sonny leone vid.

that does use quite abit of bandwidth.
and alot of businesses are trying to push for it to be used.
meaning comcast broadband will need to expand more than just restrict usuage.
more than 60% of the site I goto at work has some kind of streaming offer and my work pornblocker is stopping it.
it`s not just access it`s quality
if the bandwidth is too slow it`ll buffer.
restriction is a bad direction
it don`t help the U.S. has one of the slowest in the tech nations
so it not like the technology doesn`t exist

my dsl express even covers me using starbucks wireless.
so I don`t think I should pay even more.
internet is not a charity why should it be getting government money.

it`ll only provide free wireless to people with computers.
and I`ll still be paying for my service on top of being taxed
my claim of a double charge stands
I say this because my town is trying for free internet.
and no matter what I still need to use my existing service.
free internet is not that much better than 56k dail up.
much too limiting for my use.

If you can get free internet, why bother to continue to pay your phone company for it?

If the govt pays for you are paying for it, one way or another. And because you are paying for it through the govt odds are it will be rationed. And that isn't much different than what comcast is doing.
