Predators pound terrorist camp in North Waziristan

A swarm of unmanned US aircraft pounded an al Qaeda camp today in the Taliban-controlled tribal
agency of North Waziristan.
Five unmanned US strike aircraft, likely the Predators and Reapers, are reported to have fired 18 missiles
at a camp and vehicles in the village of Datta Khel, a known al Qaeda and Taliban stronghold. This is the largest
recorded US airstrike in Pakistan, indicating a top al Qaeda, Taliban, or Haqqani Network leader, or leaders,
may have been present.
Seventeen terrorists are reported to have been killed in the missile attack. At this time, no senior al Qaeda or
Taliban commanders have been reported killed.
The US has ramped up the attacks in Pakistan since the beginning of December, after a lull in strikes
in October and November of 2009, when only four airstrikes were launched. There were eight strikes in
December 2009, and 11 in January of this year. Today's strike is the 12th this year.
Today's airstrike is the 13th since Dec. 30, 2009, when a Jordanian al Qaeda operative and double agent carried
out a suicide attack at Combat Outpost Chapman in Afghanistan's Khost province. The bomber killed seven CIA
officials, including the station chief, and a Jordanian intelligence officer.

As far as I am concerned, stories like these are all the justification that any Muslim needs for revenge attacks inside the U.S. homeland. The bullshit hand-wringing over the "immorality" of "terrorists" who take "innocent" civilian lives is shown up as hypocritical nonsense by the actions of the U.S. government itself, and its agents.
I really did think that when Obama spoke of change, it would be a turning away from these tactics of wholesale murder and slaughter of innocents. Well, even though he only fooled me once, I still say, "Shame on ME." On me because I should have known better. Known that the chances of the sham democracy and phony "elections" of the U.S.A. would ever permit the slightest chance of "change" that ran counter to the interests of the military-industrial complex were practically nil and always have been.
I hope that nobody is so stupid as to think that this kind of tactic is going to make the U.S. any safer. On the contrary, it dramatically INCREASES the chance of a "terrorist" strike inside the U.S. homeland. I do want the FBI to pick up everyone that is harmfull , not anyone who makes unpleasant statements, I don't think of that as harm , I think of it as being pretty easy debate.

The FBI does read off of the internet, I have always been aware.
I don't think you have ever experssed a real threat to public safety , more like exaggerated outrage at American sins.
America needs critics , even if they are prone to exaggeration they serve a real function, I can think of several things I might never have noticed without seeing you mention them.
As a gathering of Human beings we are prone to faults and foibles any program for improvement has to include becomeing aware of them. I don't expect that perfection is acheveable , but constant improvement is achevable. If we are teachable.
For example , I don't think we can live without the CIA , nor staff the CIA entirely with saints, but t he CIA has just been called on the death of a mother and child who suffered from a CIA mistake, this sort of thing needs to happen so that that sort of thing doesn't simply become a norm.

We all know Mike goes beyond critical. He's a conspiracy nut with delusional behavior. Just the type of person who could pose a threat. He often agrees with terrorist behavior and even applaudes it. I can only guess that most of you would have liked to see him dealt with before he could kill Americans. Last Fall I contacted the US Secret Service with what I thought was a possible scenario where former
President Bush could be at risk for an attack at an event I was going to attend where he would be present.
I think all Americans should contact the FBI if they honestly feel they see a credible threat. Obama and
almost all elected officials Democrat and Republican call on all Americans to be vigilant and help law
enforcement counter the terror threat.
Michael if someone had heard beforehand what was going to happen on 9/11 and contacted the FBI
to snitch how could you describe the American citizen trying to protect his county as a "dickless piece of shit"?

It's not a matter of a difference of opinion Mike. You said terrorists were justified in any murder they might attampt against the US. that's a threat. It's not unreasonable to assume based on your delusional behavior that you just might give information to terrorists that could aid such a goal. Normal for him maybe. People who do such things are a threat. The FBI agrees. When someone, especially a foriegner, says terrorism is justified against American civilians, should that person be considered safe to enter the country? I don't think so. At the very least they should be investigated before they attempt to enter the country. The fruit of the boom's father attempted to notify the authorities that his son was a possible threat. That's exactly what I've done.

Well, as I said, they or the RCMP would need a Canadian court order to examine my computer, which they'd never get. But since I really don't give a shit, I might give it up voluntarily - - after all, they can fuck me up worse than I can fuck them up, if push comes to shove. I don't think in general they'd ask me to keep the questions confidential but if they ask me about specific people or places, they might well want me to keep those particular names out of it. There might be legal penalties attached to divulging questions in an investigation, for example if the publication of the questions would help the "terrorists" to skate their way through an interview.

Rich when I contacted the Secret Service it was near impossible to find a mailing address. I sent them a detailed description of what I thought could be a real threat to former President Bush at an appearance he would be making. I even made a graphic map with pictures included of the potential situation. They never responded. In some ways that doesn't surprise me and in some ways it does because it's not like I sent it to Washington where it would get lost in the shuffle, I sent it to the local Secret Service office. Maybe the FBI is more responsive? Just curious how long did the FBI agent stay on the telephone with you when you reported Michael Tee?

I just did a little research this morning on anti-"terrorism" legislation in the U.S. and I'm not finished yet, but so far, research indicates that the U.S. is still a free country, with a very advanced sense of the importance of not "chilling" political discussion by criminalizing unpopular opinions. In other words, despite the efforts of fascist creeps like our friend, and the encroachments of the Patriot Act, free speech seems to be alive and well in the U.S.A. I'll let you know when I conclude my research if I still think that's the case.
