I`ve read way too much scifi to deal with the idea of AI
keep thinking humans will be outmoded if AI`s become reality.
it`s not like we`ll design them to be inferior to us.
what the point of making them if they don`t things better than us.
remember rossums universal robots?

but i don`t want to buy virtual clothes on top of the clothes I already bought now.
we should have unlimited choices in virtual world.
it don`t look like in the future using the default icon will fly in the virtual world.

as a former dog owner
i love treating my dog once in awhile
and didn`t mind doing everything possible making him comfortable toward the end.
mark twain was right about the closeness of man and his dog.
on the matter of help the starving.
our brains are scrambled.
we`re barely able to donate money without most of it going to admin fee`s
charity is too much a business today and it`s hurting itself.

you mention writers
that gives me a thought.
how about structuring it so it encourages creativity
the point of copyright laws is to not turn off writers and artist .
it`s not to protect businesses but to ensure people keep creating.
businesses never needs protection.
if one goes another will pop up.
unless it`s arthur anderson.

something about paying real money for virtual items, just bugs me.
it`s no impossible for identicle items being made separately by folks all using the same tools.
so copyright laws maybe a problem.
I`m leaning toward making the virtual world a lawless place.
also unions are good for free enterprise.
without strike and unions business will have a limited income base.
increasing worker income equals higher profit.

that`s just playing dirty.
I had my own ways to vote, but puting the trek factor is seriously gonna sway it.
their should be a law seprerating trek & state.
it`s not like I can think for myself if trek is involved

hygeine and nutrition.

uhm.
the government can barely feed passable food to kids
keeping them clean is a tall order
It`s next to impossible for me to get my nephews to not wear dirty clothes.
any parent with a backyard should understand what I mean.
especially when they want to make there own swimming pool out of dirt and a waterhose

I remember a few years back somebody saying the worst those camps did was make jews sweep floors as punishment.
does this mean all those physical evidence is gone??

3DHS / Re: Why doesn't Bush get credit for the strong economy?
« on: December 07, 2006, 07:06:06 PM »
Because the liberal mainstream media downplays every bit of good economic news as somehow bad.

media??
pretty much the news tends to say the economy is strong but.if there is no money in the pockets it`s a hard sell telling people their doing ok.
remember that article stated personnal income growth is stagnant, which is true
but everything cost more.
rising housing cost maybe a major factor.
a good percent of home owners go to food kitchens now .

Most working people don't work in another state. Most working people see their families most nights in addition to weekends.

true
but quite alot do work out of state /country and only see their family 2/3 weeks a year
my dad did that
to get any serious income sometime working abroad is the only option.
unless paying for a roof over their head is not important for a family
