Glad he had a chance to set the record straight for those who jumped on the Cain is a dumbass bandwagon.

=========================================================
There are still a lot of people on the "Cain says dumbass things" bandwagon, however.

Well, considering so many facts to the contrary, I think we can chalk that up to the Elvis Factor

I wonder if he will say there are 57 states like Obama.

Back to main issue of the thread. Cain admitted he miss-spoke on China's nuclear capabilities. He said he meant to say that China had less nuclear capability than the United States, not that they didn't have any.

BSB

P.S. New voting law: pets, such as dogs, cats, monkeys, parrots, etc., will no longer be allowed to vote in presidential races.

Well, I guess that about ends Cain's chances.

Despite all that still you admitted to voting for Obama. Were you wearing a monkey costume at the time?

I understand that no organization is going to shell out $80K based on no facts at all.

Apparently you don't know that.

Yeah, change the subject when it gets over your head.

I learned that technique from you.

The Restaurant Association paid one woman $45K and another $35K. It was clearly not a fabricated incident. It is not the incidents themselves that reveal why Cain should not be president, but his stupid and clumsy way of trying to weasel out of the whole thing with the phony confusion between "agreement" and "Settlement". There is a greater difference between beard and whiskers, car and vehicle.

It seem to me that the left is not behind this, because the time to spiring this would be three weeks before the general election IF Cain were to get the nomination.

Apparently you don't understand that frequently settlements are made for fabricated sexual harassment because it's cheaper than litigating. Too bad you live a sheltered life that does not allow you to know such easy to know facts. Anybody can make a false charge and collect a settlement; it happens all the time. The amounts you mention easily fall into this category because had there been a real case the amounts would have been into 6 figures. For a guy that claims to be the smartest man in the world you are rather dense.

Why worry over a fabricated story about Cain when nobody cared about Clinton and his bimbo eruptions. I think Clinton had an entire team of people in place to deal with and extinguish his perverted sexual escapades from becoming campaign issues.

Other than the fact Jesus has witnesses to his resurrection. There are no people coming forward claiming to touch or see a reincarnated person. Yet anyway.

-====================================================
Jesus' reappearance was insufficiently convincing to Thomas, who demanded to put his finger in a wound. Though the usual way we recognize a person we have not seen for a while is their voice.

Note that every one of the supposed eyewitness accounts were written many, many years after the actual event.

There are indeed legends of reincarnated people. The current Dalai Lama is the 14th reincarnation of the first one. The Lamas have tests to establish reincarnation at least as convincing as anything described in the Bible.

Fpor you to claim that everyone of the millions of people that believe in reincarnation is a "moron", and to claim that all the folderol surrounding the Jesus legend is true reveals far more about you and your lack of critical thinking than anything about the relative likelihood of reincarnation or resurrection.

Truth is, it boil down to this: there is nothing in either story valid enough to be admitted in any US court of law. Thomas is not available to testify, but every so often one of the monks that has given the tests to the future Dalai or Panchen Lamas might be available to testify as a witness.

The test generally consists  of a possible infant candidate (that was born 49 days after the death of the previous lama) identifying correctly various artifacts (glasses, canes, robes, bowls, etc) belonging to the previous lama from among a variety of similar items owned by other lamas.

You can argue that selecting only male candidates is invalid. You can argue that it is coincidence, but the test is more valid than putting a finger in a wound.

The fact is there is insufficient evidence to conclusively prove that the soul will eventually be resurrected and go to Heaven, installed in its resurrected body, OR that the soul is reincarnated in a recently born body. It is also possible, as Aristotle believes, that the soul survives, but its memory, all that makes a person what they are, simply vanishes like erased bits on your hard drive.

Calling people morons because they do not believe the rather outlandish tale regarding what happens to souls as believed by Christians is foolish.

Note that proving that Jesus was immortal does not in any logical way prove that anyone else is or was or will be.

Regardless of all that boring drivel, suicide by fire is dumb, in the context that Buddhists tend to do it.

This is a non-issue because Cain is a non-issue. Further, the guy should go home so the party can get down to the business at hand. And the business at hand for the Republicans is putting together a team that can defeat the present White House occupant.

BSB

This process causes all candidates to go through serious scrutiny and test their metal. The last one standing has gone through a lot and passed the test. This process only makes the eventual contender against Obama stronger and better at the game. I would hope that Cain not take your advice and for that matter none of the candidates should listen to chumps like you because you don't know what you are talking about.

Only a moron would believe they will be reincarnated.

=========================================
Why is it any less moronic to believe that one will be resurrected to sing in the Choir Celestial for all eternity?

If all energy is eternal, (and we know that neither energy or matter can vanish into nothingness) then why would it not make sense for spiritual essence to inhabit another body? Does it make more sense to die, stay dead until the Final Judgement, then be resurrected in your previous body and then ascend to Heaven? That is the basic Christian belief, after all.

I don't see where either belief is "moronic".

Other than the fact Jesus has witnesses to his resurrection. There are no people coming forward claiming to touch or see a reincarnated person. Yet anyway.

it`s kinda hard to think someone who sets oneself on fire is a coward. wouldn`t that be the least a coward would even think of doing?

it maybe the most extreme pain one can feel before dying. survivors tend to die from the shock than the injuries.

Since when does enduring high amounts of pain when committing suicide equate to not being a coward? Seems like dying would be the easy way out from a perceived bad situation. The heroic thing to do would be stay and fight for your cause. Plus, how do you know they haven't drugged up or put themselves into a trance and aren't buffering the effects? In the end they are ending their one and only life. Only a moron would believe they will be reincarnated.

ACORN Officials Scramble, Firing Workers and Shredding Documents, After Exposed as Players Behind Occupy Wall Street Protests

By Jana Winter

Published November 03, 2011 | FoxNews.com

Officials with the revamped ACORN office in New York -- operating as New York Communities for Change -- have fired staff, shredded reams of documents and told workers to blame disgruntled ex-employees for leaking information in an effort to explain away a FoxNews.com report last week on the group’s involvement in Occupy Wall Street protests, according to sources.

NYCC also is installing surveillance cameras and recording devices at its Brooklyn offices, removing or packing away supplies bearing the name ACORN and handing out photos of Fox News staff with a stern warning not to talk to the media, the sources said.

“They’re doing serious damage control right now,” said an NYCC source.

NYCC Executive Director Jon Kest has been calling a series of emergency meetings to discuss last week’s report—and taking extreme measures to identify the sources in their office and to prevent further damage, a source within NYCC told FoxNews.com.

Two staffers were fired after NYCC officials suspected them as the source of the leaks, a source told FoxNews.com. “One was fired the day the story came out, the other was fired on Friday. (NYCC senior staff) told everyone that they were fired because they talked to you,” a source said.

NYCC spokesman Scott Levenson denied that anyone was fired for talking to the press.

FoxNews.com’s report identified NYCC as a key organizing force behind the Occupy Wall Street protests. Sources within the group also told FoxNews.com NYCC was hiring people to carry signs and join the protests. NYCC -- a nonprofit organization run almost entirely by former ACORN officials and employees --did not reply for comment prior to the publication of the initial article, but later posted a statement on its website dismissing the article and denying that it pays protesters.

A source said that immediately following publication of the FoxNews.com report staff were called into the Brooklyn office for meetings headed by NYCC’s organizing director, Jonathan Westin. Westin handed out copies of the article and went through it line-by-line, the source said.

Staffers were also given copies of photos of Senior Fox News Correspondent Eric Shawn and three other Fox News staff members, including this reporter.

“They reminded us that we can get fired, sued, arrested for talking to the press,” the source said. “Then they went through the article point-by-point and said that the allegation that we pay people to protest isn’t true.”

“‘That’s the story that we’re sticking to,’” Westin said, according to the source.

The source said staffers at the meeting contested Westin’s denial:

“It was pretty funny. Jonathan told staff they don’t pay for protesters, but the people in the meeting  who work there objected and said, ‘Wait, you pay us to go to the protests every day?’ Then Jonathan said  ‘No, but that’s your job,’ and staffers were like, ‘Yeah, our job is to protest,’ and Westin said, ‘No your job is to fight for economic and social justice. We just send you to protest.’

“Staff said, ‘Yes, you pay us to carry signs.’ Then Jonathan says, ‘That’s your job.’ It went on like that back and forth for a while.”

During the meetings, NYCC Deputy Director Greg Basta provided Westin with the copied photos of Fox News reporters to hand out to staff members, the source said. Basta told staffers they might be asked about the article when out in communities working on campaigns or when calling people by phone, the source said.

“They told us if people bring up the article, we’re supposed to say the source and all the stuff in there came from a disgruntled ex-employee who’s not working with us anymore.”

NYCC is also monitoring its staff’s behavior, cracking down on phone use and socialization. Officials have ordered all papers -- even scraps -- to be shredded every night, the source said.

“And all the supplies—everything around the office that said ‘ACORN’ -- is now all in storage until this blows over,” the source said. “People literally have to cover up the cameras on the back of their cellphones in the office.”

Plane, have they looked into Solar Panels?

Obama's energy dept will likely FULLY fund the venture so the world can be saved from Global Warming. Plus it would create jobs too.

The Chineese have had just as much or more famine in times of good order.

So a few years of no rain or ruined crops and shit could hit the fan? Nothing worse than hordes of pissed off peasants with hoes **.
