Concerning the economy, the differences between our two parties could not be more clear and defined. The Democratic Party believes that we need to have a plan to stimulate the economy, which is fiscally responsible. The Republicans instead believe in granting massive tax cuts to the well off which will not stimulate the economy in the least. The consequences of the measures taken by the Republicans will be evident in a few years. The great majority of the benefits of the Republican initiatives, instead of being beneficial to all American workers, will only be in favor of the minority that is better off, and far from being fiscally responsible, it will increase substantially the nation's deficit in the years to come. In regard to National Security, the Democrats believe that a lot must be done to eliminate the weak points which became evident with the terrorist attack of 9/11. The menace of terrorism and the proliferation of arms of mass destruction cannot be faced with efficacy by the United States alone, It will require an intense International effort . http://www.newsitaliapress.it/interna.asp?sez=664&info=85880<good interview here>
