Data From Raid Links Bin Laden to Newer Terror Plots

After reviewing computer files and documents seized at the compound where Osama bin Laden was killed, American intelligence analysts have concluded that the chief of Al Qaeda played a direct role for years in plotting terror attacks from his hide-out in Abbottabad, Pakistan, United States officials said Thursday.

With Bin Laden's whereabouts and activities a mystery in recent years, many intelligence analysts and terror experts had concluded that he had been relegated to an inspirational figure with little role in current and future Qaeda operations.
A rushed examination of the trove of materials from the compound in Pakistan prompted Obama administration officials on Thursday to issue a warning that Al Qaeda last year had considered attacks on American railroads.

Our government has a lot of so-called 'experts' that are often wrong. What makes this big news? As far as railroads are concerned attacks in Spain and the UK are clear confirmation that railroads are targets. I can also add that buses, malls, stadiums, and other public locations should be of concern. Believe it or not airplanes are also a concern. I am thankful that Bush beefed up all those areas, heavily funded Special Forces training and used interrogation methods to extract information. No doubt Obama benefited from all those things Bush did, even the things Obama used against Bush in the election. Little doubt that Gitmo helped in the elimination of UBL, and I can see that it's still in operation, a direct contradiction to what Obama said would be the case.

Yes indeed we have many that claim to be 'experts', even you pretend to be some sort of expert but usually your vision is hind-site, which is pretty darn easy to do. I will give you credit for knowing more than the average person including Obama prior to Jan. 2009.
