question about rights
« on: May 13, 2011, 11:55:56 AM »
the word right is used alot and I`m starting to think the definition is changing. because sometimes it ask alot.
ex. heart transplant-despite someone has to die for it to happen and tissue rejection is not completely solved

One's rights end when it impedes/impairs/mandates/runs over another person's rights

What is "noticeable"?  Rights impeding/superceding other people's rights?

both

but I`m more pointing out people talking about rights way too many times. I pointed people say they have rights to heart transplants and I stated that`s not possible. the crazy part is the response is overwhelmingly it should still be a right and totally ignore the reality of it. I might be wrong, but maybe entitlement is more appropriate word and still not something deserved.

I'm not sure how one can talk about rights "too many times", unless you're referring to those who claim rights that don't exist.....like the right to "free" healthcare
