SHE ERRONEOUSLY & HYPERBOLICALLY CLAIMED BEING CALLED UNPATRIOTIC FOR DARING TO CRITICIZE BUSH.  SHE WAS NOT CALLED THAT, IN ANY WAY.  SHE WAS TRYING TO DEMONIZE THOSE CRITICIZING HER FOR HER CRITICISM OF BUSH

Actually that is not what she said at all.

This is what she said:

"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic.   We should stand up and say, we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration".

If she was demonizing those who were demonizing her she did a poor job of it.

Actually, her words were very much in trying to demonize those who were criticizing her.  Simple as that.

How so? She was portraying herself up as a victim, hardly the act of one aggressively demonizing others.

Possibly. But not concerning criticizing Bush. Most of the criticism of Bush concerned the war in Iraq and she voted for it. Any criticism of the wa would have been about it was waged and certainly there was room for debate on that subject.
