san francisco is actually one of the very few places that displays art work out in the open without plexiglass cases.

this theft might be the thing to finally get this practice to stop.

I note that the thief did not wear socks. I would think that a lack of socks would make running, always an option in a theft, might be necessary.

I agree that this should cause someone to improve security, as insurance premiums tend to go up when stuff like this happens.

It's not that much to look at, in my opinion, but all I have seen is the online picture.

security will be dificult in this venue since thier required to be not deter patrons and that will is probly one of the factors that makes such theft possible.

You mean that they can't tell patrons not to touch the pictures?

At some galleries I have been to, they get in a huff if you touch the wall.

it really depends on the place. mine would not allow such behaviour. we tend to be abit more gentle, it`s quite hard to do without seeming huffy though.
