July 12, 2011 President Obama awards Sgt. Leroy Arthur Petry from New Mexico the
Medal of Honor marking only the second time since the Vietnam War that the honor
has been bestowed on a living recipient. Given his wounds, Sgt Petry could have retired
from the Army with honor. Instead, the 31-year-old father of four re-enlisted indefinitely.
He recently returned from his eighth deployment
