Dealing with Obama

Will the deal cut the budget , shrink the government, lay off some civil servants,reduce the size of the military,raise the retirement age,close tax loopholes,simplify the tax code, preserve the American way of life?

Or even more?

Why must this all be packed into one deal?

Because in the past the Dems have burned Repubs when they strike a so-called deal. Then they forget about the deal and keep spending, that's why!! Do we want something tangible this time or not?

There is NO REASON to include all this in one deal. All they need to do is raise the debt ceiling, as they did for every other president, and address the other issues separately. It is the stupid Republican'ts and the even stupider teabaggers that insist on all sorts of other crap.

  I can see the reason and the need for horsetrading, Obama wants more debt authorisation the people want smaller government the trade can be made.

But why micromanage the thing and make the trade complex?

Simply allow the borrow and demand the cut in one document and allow the precision to be arrived at lower levels.
