From all indications, Newt aced it, and Romney did what he seems to always do, perform well, with a solid A-

Cain got by, as did Perry, but neither reinforced a desperate need to regain some lost traction

Maybe for hard core conservatives, but from how he articulated it, it comes across reasonable, and would likely resonate with a large majority of the electorate, many conservatives included.  It had me even rethinking preset notions
