The Occupy Wall Street protesters claim they need work, claim they can't afford a place to live, claim they can't afford medical care, ect....so why don't they join the military? In the military they would get a free place to live, free food, free travel, free medical care, free education and job training.

I keep opining that they're protesting the wrong folk, given the ultimate source of their economic, unemployment & housing misery.  Can we add to their resume', ignorance?

  Was not long ago that the military was stating that 75% of potential recruits had to be rejected , the most common cause being obesity.

What percent of the OWS would have to be rejected?

That would depend on those who applied and the degree of desperation of the military. When times are bad, the military can be picky. When employment rises, they tend to lower their standards.

Soldiers today need to understand how some pretty complex and expensive weapons work. The military does need to be more selective.
