How 'bout that
« on: October 10, 2012, 02:32:17 PM »
All this "guff" we hear about Fox News, how RW biased they are, how it seems no one from their news agency seems to ever be chosen to moderate any of these Prez/VP debates.  And yet, debate after debate after debate presents moderators who have a history of liberal bias, and/or accept Government subsidies, and/or have personal relationships with the Candidate or their minions.

Case in point for the VP Debate now.  Our moderator had as her guest at her wedding, none other than a pre-president Barak Obama.  That moderator's then husband, now has a cushy position as provided for by Obama having placed him at the FCC

And yet Fox and its reporters are supposed to be the biased evil entity that can't be allowed to moderate any of these debates, nor go on to any of their news shows

it's really amazing SIRS how the Left must "stack the deck" to have any chance
it's because what they're selling makes no sense
it really exposes the weakness of their positions

Boy, that's an understatement.  If the electorate had any idea what Obama's vision of a "fundamentally changed" country, he'd be voted out in a heartbeat.  It's why he's so vulnerable when off the teleprompter.  He WANTS to express his real intentions, but he can't, but occasionally it does slip, like the "you didn't build it" fiasco.  The left sees their "savior", in the idea that this man can bring real fundamental change, in a hard left ideological shift, to this country.  Only hardened Obama sycophants gave the debate win to the president, while the rest of the country got a good and finally open picture of the man coupled with his record.  This fella that does massive fund raisers at some of the richest folks homes that there is.  He even did one at the Nokia theater, yet Romney is the fella that supposed to be "out of touch"

Who's the "out of touch" candidate in this race, again?

That's why he won't go on Fox, that's why he has his questions prearranged in some of these lesser venues, that's why you have to have these debates run by folks that are more likely to be favorable to the Democrat.  I that weren't the case, you'd see an approval for other newsfolks, like on Fox, moderating some of these debates.  But like you said, they need to stack the deck.

Isn't it amazing that Romney is even this close if not ahead, despie this gauntlet of MSM blockading??  If the MSM were actually objective, Romney would have a double digit lead in every poll, given the state of the economy, unemployment, GDP, Debt, Deficit, and proposed tax increases, not to mention the wholly unpopular Obamacare that he railed thru congress on a completely partisan tact

President Obama did give an interview to Bill O'Riley , I doubt this will be repeated before the election.

O'Riley gives a tough but fair interview , I expect the president to want more controll than that.

Unfortunately controlling the debate works just as well as winning the debate.

Well deduced.  Which is why, as Cu4 opined, the MSM needs to try to "stack the deck" in Obama's favor.  And even with all that stacking, Obama & Romney are pretty much tied in the polls, with Romney slightly ahead in most swing states, and clearly with more momentum
