Seems to me that the only persons posts you can control are your own. So now that you have pledged not to engage in insult fests, We are one step closer to achieving the goal.

And that is a good thing.

Funny, how I don't think I ever said such.  Perhaps if we get a similar pledge from some others, I'll follow suit.  At this time however, and for the 5th+ time, I'll continue, as I largely always have, in refraining from initating such fests

There seems to be little utility in passing insults back and forth on a discussion site like this one .

At best the ad hominim postings serve to deflect and distract.

At worst they rob all the joy from our exercise.
