I am born/raised North Central Texas
And my love is the deep piney woods of East Texas
where life resides somewhere in the 1950's
I know very little about the Texas coast
although I do know Texas has 600 miles of coastline
to get a better feel you may wanna google some places like:
Port Isabel, Freeport, The Village of Surfside Beach,
Rockport, Port Aransas.

I used to go to Galveston quite a bit when I was stationed at Ft Hood. It's not a bad place to visit but I'm not sure you'd want to live there. If you like the gulf, you could live in the Huston area which is only about 45 miles from Galveston. You can spit 45 miles in Texas.

I have met members of "La Raza" and I know that the most extreme of them are a sort of Zionist.

I have no idea of how prevalant this attitude is , especially since I have met so few.

Most of the Hispanics I have ever met treated me with perfect courtesy, which really doesn't inform about attitude.
