It is always good bye to this and that. Apple Computer is sure to fail because of blah blah blah. The end of the boom is coming, you should stock up on food for your bunker blah blah. Now oil is all over the place and blah blah BLAH blah. Check out the Motley Fool and Porter Stansberry if you like listening to these apocalyptic "insider" ramblings. There may be an ounce of truth in a ton of this verbiage, but as you say, they are boooooring.

Mostly, they are a waste of time.

American Oil Independence? Forget about that! The oil does not belong to this country, only some companies, and they belong to their shareholders. Now they are ranting about shipping gas to Europe, but they have neither the ship capacity nor the technology to do this safely. Gas must be liquified, which requires pressurizing tankers. Easier said than done.
