Santa is white.

Important?

Conversation gets more serious and insightful after a few minutes.

The Santa we all think of has almost nothing to do with the real St. Nickolas, who was born in what is now Syria.

The Santa Americans think of is not a real person. He is a symbol of the Christmas season.

The usual depiction of him is White, of course, but that is not important to those who realize that he is a symbol.

What race is Rudolph? Is Rudolph a mutant because of his glow in the dark nose?

If the personification of generosity might necessarily be white  then there ought be another personification of generosity that isn't.

Can a personification of generosity look like he fits in?

I don't mind a black Santa Claus, but I don't think I would be threatened by it.

I learned pretty early that Santa Claus looked a lot like my Father.

My parents always told me that all those Santas in department stores and ringing Salvation Army bells were representing "The Spirit of Christmas". They would stick Santa's name on some presents even after were were in HS.
