But it is so focused that the unincluded part of the picture is glaring.
For example , if a test is given it makes a difference whether you remind girls that they are female, a question on the top about gender makes female students score several points lower.
So ...? What happens to the males that get asked about whether they are male? Do they do better for the positive reinforcement of the stereotype? or , Do males ignore this and not get distracted at all?
There might indeed be true cognitive differences between girls , women , boys and men, but the questions get so politically loaded that the answers come only partly through the filter. I can't tell whether there is truly serious investigation of the sexual influence on cognition or if there is none and instead there is perhaps political advocacy masquerading as science only.
