Kalamazoo Public Schools announces that all KPS students who have been enrolled since kindergarten will receive four-year, full-tuition college scholarships, starting with the class of 2006.

Anonymous philanthropists are funding.  $12 million is all it costs.

Kalamazoo housing increases. 

This is capitalism put to good socialist ideals.  Bravo.

The socialist ideal is that for a community to succeed, it must help itself by helping one another.  Education is the key  to the lock on the American Dream.  Educating the populace can only make the community a better place to be.

If capitalism could be used in this manner all the time, I wouldn't mind it so much.

This is something the Rust Belt has to deal with.  How do we ensure an educated populace?   This is a great start.

False claim.  One can be a socialist within a capitalist society as these people clearly are.   They may be parting with their own money but they are doing it for the benefit of their society, their community if you will.

No , because they had their own money and were willing to give it proves that they have been capitolists.
