18 last night

 Last night I watched the meteor shower for three hours and saw 18 shooting stars.

    Did not count the small ones , that flick into view and gone so fast you can't be sure you have seen anything.

   Nope, 18 bright and clear meteors , best I have ever seen in one night.

It is nice that they were all small in size.  We not want 100 ton meteorites crashing down, even if they are spectacular to watch.

None seemed to have made it to the ground , but the dust from these rocks does rain down gently with the rain and snow.

    I saw a demonstration , a guy washed down his roof and passed all of the runoff under a magnet , the fine dust that was mostly iron was meteorite fragments.

Where's the best place to find the 10,000 tons of microme-teorites that land on the surface of the Earth each day?

  The Earth is gaining weight?

If the Earth gains more than it loses, it is gaining weight. It is possible that tiny bits of atmosphere spin off, and the Earth has lost some space satellites and other stuff.

10,000 tons of rock dust and slag must be a net gain.

I would tend to agree with you. There is no one to actually weigh the Earth, but most satellites fall back to Earth.
