I'm probly the only who thinks this. But I notice in movie that uses north koreas as villians that those actors totally don't look n.korean and the only reason n.korea does not complains is because the dudes look super good compared to the real guys.

How can you tell a n.korean apart. They are really short compared to the original model

Japanese, Koreans and people from Northern China all look pretty much alike.

I find the statement by the head of Sony that Sony did not "cave" to be at least as ridiculous as North Korean propaganda.

The first Kim, Kim Il Sung was a giant among Koreans, he was quite huge. Kim Il Sung was quite a bit shorter, and Kim Jong Un is sort of a runt.
The statues of the first two Kims are about the same size, though.

The idea to make this film was stupid.  What has happened was predictable.  North Korea is better at hacking than Sony is at picking winning ideas for a film.

not sure about japan but n.chinese and s. Koreans are taller than n.koreans. not by genetics but nutrition

If Kim Jong Un is a runt, it probably is not due to poor nutrition due to poverty. I'm pretty sure he got plenty to eat.

Chinese, Japanese and Koreans have told me that they can only tell the difference by looking at clothes or listening to accents.
North Koreans are more likely to have ugly haircuts.
I know that I cannot tell the difference.

I can tell by the eyes of some s.koreans.

their the only people who to the extreme follow the trend of altering their eyes. an actress named Jamie chung is playing mulan in the show once upon a time. a lot of Chinese has trouble watching her not because she`s Korean which a problem by itself. it`s because she has Korean eyes. lets just say her eyes creeps us out big times

I like her eyes. They do not creep me out. But you are right, they do look different. They do not look surgically altered to me, but course, no plastic surgeon wants his patients to look surgically altered.

Well it's not her intent to creep people out but like breast implants you can't make everyone happy. So far it's only chinese that finds it discerning. But then I never asked a japanese if they get creeped out by those eyes. It's likely a korean only trend.

Eye jobs and nose jobs are said to be popular in Japan, I have heard.

Most plastic surgery is an improvement, but we only notice the exaggerated cases, like Minaj's butt implants or massive boob jobs.

It`s quite common due to plastic surgery in a Korean family for the children to not look like the parents. I`m aware about japan being into plastic surgeries but obviously they go for a differing look than korea
