At no point does the author say that "Obama has it all wrong".
What Obama is doing is what this guy recommends as the proper course:
"Given everything we know about the Islamic State, continuing to slowly bleed it appears the best of bad military options. ''
This is some sort of apocalyptic cult that believes in grabbing Westerners and others and holding them for ransom, as it did with the American health worker and the two Japanese, none of whom posed any threat to them.
