The lack of respect for the police was a major factor in Ferguson. The town government was a bunch of thieves and the cops were their agents. Perhaps it could have happened if circumstances had been different. But I suspect that Ferguson will change as a result.

A positive change in Ferguson would be excellent. What is being done and who is doing it?

I don't know what to call the effort that is returning respect to the police.

police just gonna have to earn it.

I remember the police liked to shoot Vietnamese folk down near san jose and eventually they had to spend years to earn their trust. not saying all police are like this . it`s always a case by case thing.
