The Iraq War was a fool's errand from the very start.

There was no way it could have turned out with a stable and democratic Iraq.

The blather was all from Cheney, Juniorbush and Rumsfeld and their many minions.

Your opinion on the Iraq war is duly noted......and discarded, not to mention debunked by Oblather himself, just before he pulled the rug out from under them

There was no possible date after which the mostly Shiite Army would not have been a bunch of girlie cowards. There was no date after which Al Malaki would have been minimally competent.

Time was not the problem. Al Maliki was a horrible leader that most Iraqis did not follow, and the Iraqi Army was predisposed only to run when attacked. You could stuff Cheney into camos and put him at their lead, and they would have all run away at the first sign of hostility,

I am pretty sure at least some of their trainers knew this.

Did I mention, debunked by Oblather as well.  Or was he lying then too?

Who gives a shit what you think you debunked.

There are several species of prairie hen that are more articulate than you, sirs.

Before anyone started talking about the Iran deal, Congress furgled the rules so that only a third plus one of the Senate could approve it. This was done with the full collaboration 0of the Republicans, so they could see that the deal was approved without them having to say they voted for it. Ted Cruz correctly outed this devious plan, but it will not make much difference, since the deal, which is the best they could get, will be approved.  The wizards of Congress wanted to make sure that Netanyahu did not manage to queer the deal, and he was shut out.

It was devious, but masterful.

Again, the Republicans could have defeated the deal if they had wanted to. They knew it had to be passed, they knew they had to deal with Netanyahu and a bunch of Muslim haters who could never be pleased with anything short of Iran pulling up stakes and moving to another continent. So they devised a clever plan to pass the bill and still claim they opposed it.

They did defeat it......as in there was a bipartisan majority that didn't support the "deal".  All Oblather got was enough votes that he didn't have to walk the embarrasment of dealing the "deal" being overridden by a veto
