But its a water bottle to begin with and alcohol is highly corrosive i think its one of the reason thiers a limit why you cant mix it with gas due it harming the car. You need a totally different engine if you get it to run on alcohol. I even remember a moonshine show which they didnt use stainless steel for a still and they ended up with brown rusty alcohol.

Alcohol is a good solvent and is an excellent degreaser.

If your iron is protected from rust by paint or oil a rinse with alcohol can leave it more vulnerable.

I am basing my observations on my experiments to make cheap disposable razors last forever.

I found that if you clean them off, dry them carefully and replace the blade cover it prolongs their life for two months.

If you put them in rubbing alcohol, you get about the same result.

If you dip them in oil (olive or canola), they will last for six months or longer.

The blade is not damaged much by damp soapy whiskers. The blades are made of some sort of stainless steel alloy, and stainless steel does not hold an edge as long as good carbon steel, as is used in a straight razor.

The name brand razors (Bic, Gillette, Wilkenson, Schick, Personna) outlast the cheapo Chinese ones about double. I think this is because the blades are made of better metal. If you use a coupon you can buy the name brand razors at the bargain brand price.

Razors made for women are no different than those made for men, they are only pink.

I buy my name brands at flea markets at a fraction of the cost. I never ask where they get them but i never  doubt why the store lock thier shaving supplies

I also have bought a lot of stuff at flea markets. CVS bought out Eckerd and Brooks pharmacies, and there are a lot of store brand products  from the defunct chains, as well as CVS stuff that is in the old style packaging. Of course, if it is a razor it has no shelf life and it the package has not been damaged, it is good forever.

Razors seem to be a favorite item to shoplift.  Condoms are another. You would think that lipstick and nail polish would be favorite items to shoplift as well, but they rarely lock those up. $7 for nail polish or lipstick seems to be way overpriced. Perhaps they have to put three on display and lose two to shoplifters to make a profit.
