The gangs and strife in Central America were caused by Ronald Reagan supporting right wing goon squads in Salvador in Honduras and  the Contras in Nicaragua.

Send that bill to Nancy's estate.

  When the extreme leftists win , it is no better.

    Might as well support the ones that can do business.

       When a regime is really good lets support that, but of course the better they are the less they need support.

Sendero luminoso was in Peru. The US had nothing to do with it.

It was a Maoist version of a mostly Quechua Indian movement, an offshoot of the old APRA movement.
El Salvador had the FMNLF, Reagan supported the Arenas Party, that murdered and raped nuns and assassinated Archbishop Romero at the altar of his own church.
