<<Perhaps they [Democrats] do [think for themselves], but most of them seem to coincidentally be thinking alike.>>

Yeah, that coincidence happens to have a name - - it's the DLC.  And what's the coincidence that has Joe "coincidentally" thinking like a Republican?  Does Israel have anything to do with it?

No one should like Israel?
Anyone who does should vote Republican?

Isreal started with so little, and has gained so much.

Land.

Americans that hold office, Republican AND Democrat, appreciate the positive profile of such a free-enterprising little country, and has chosen it to be the base of their imperialistic ventures into the Middle East.

Everything else you call terrorism comes after.

What's to like?  The inevitability of the Wheel?

Men like Sam Nunn and John Kennedy. Men like them are an endangered species in the democrat party.

it is not now called, nor has it ever been called, the "democrat party"

It is the Democratic Party, doofus.

It is hardly anti-semitic to say that Lieberman favors Israel's interests over those of the US, it is simply a fact.

Israel has a perfect right to exist and to defend itself, just as Armenia or Andorra or Mongolia exist and defend themselves. I would simply prefer that I not be asked to pay for this, as it does not benefit me or my country. It would not be anti-Armenian, anti-Mongol or anti-Andorran to oppose the US arming those nations, and it is not anti-Semitic or anti-Israeli to oppose armoing Israel.

As for Lieberman, he sertves at the pleasure of the people of Connecticut, and has a right to say whatever he wishes. But so do I.

===================================================================
Israel could not defend the Sinai. The world needed the Suez Canal opened, and Israel's occupation of the Sinai prevented this.

The few Israeli colonists who settled in the Sinai, and they were colonists, because Israel is a colony, made out like bandits. They were paid millions by Uncle Sam to evacuate the Sinai. Israel and Egypt both were paid bazillions more to make this deal.

Egypt cannot be defended. One bomb on the Aswan Dam, and a day later pretty much the entire population of Egypt will be floating in the Mediterranean.
So it was a win-win for Egypt. Israel was relieved of the possibility of having to choose whether to be invaded by 50 million or so Egyptians or to be guilty of the genocide of said Egyptians. Neither was an acceptable prospect.

The Sinai is called a desert for a very good reason. It is worthless for human habitation.

The Sinai is worthless? Indefensable?

And so is Egypt?

Sinai is a great place to mine or to build a resort , it was defended twice and was given up for a lot less than its worth.

There are a few resorts on the coast of the Sinai. There is no water, it must be trucked in.

So far as I know, there are no minerals worth mining in Sinai.

Egypt is indefensible because nearly everyone lives along the Nile, and there is a huge dam at Aswan with several years accumulation of water behind it.

Why does this offend you so?

The Republicans since Roosevelt have called tyhe Democratic Party the "Democrat" party intentionally to piss off Democrats.

It is intended as an insult, it is taken as one.

One never allows one's enemies to rename them.

Israel is free to defend itself any way it wishes. I simply oppose them doing it with my money.
I also oppose paying to defend Armenia, Chechnya, Mongolia or Upper Volta.

You mean like ratwing?  Or is that a term of endearment?  To be bluntly honest, 1 term is far more of an intentional insult than the other.  I bet you can guess which one

<chuckle>

Have you actually seen a map of Israel? Not exactly much expansion in the great Israeli empire since 1948 now is there.

So using the term democrat party pisses you off. Fine. I however didn't make it personal. I suggest you do the same.

Most of your posts are intended as insult.

Consider me insulted by virtually every one of your posts.
