To pretend that the actions of the police shown in the video are somehow justified because of "rising tensions" because another officer was shot, is offensive to anyone with half a brain.  We expect better from our police, and we should demand better.  Isn't this the reason that police go through training and psychological testing?  This video turns my stomach, though I have no doubt that there are some in here who will find it enjoyable to watch.

This is exactly the sort of thing that Poolice used to get away with on a regular basis, the nearly constant presence of cameras is still new in our lives , stuff like this is getting caught on a regular basis.

In the future we will all be recording everything all the time with cameras built into our clothes , getting away with something will require more planning and impromptu crimes will become rare.

It is the role of the police to capture criminals and bring them in. It is not their role to kick the crap out of them once they do not present a threat to the safety of the police.

As you said, fatman, this is ridiculous and disgusting. Someone is gonna get sued over this, and I bet some cops get busted.

Policemen acting in an unlawful manner should be held
accountable to the full extent the law allows.

This is clearly inappropriate/unacceptable behavior, but not really a surprise.

Dealing with the "worst of humanity" on a daily basis
probably would sow seeds of frustration and anger on
alot of otherwise rational people.

I am sure like the misrepresentaion sensationalized over
Abu Ghraib, this incident will be used to tarnish an overwhelming
majority of well behaved and professional people trying to protect us.
