I remember a guy I used to work with who said women are not naturally inclined to do math .
despite after I pointed out all these girls I dated having serious math & science background.
he pointed out example that most end up being just nurses.
I pointed out his statement is proof it`s only true because opportunity is not possible with too many like minded people like him.

Nurses must dilute drugs .

I hope nurses are pretty good at math.

The thing is not so much that women cannot do math. Lots of women do math.

But still, there is not one great or famous female mathematician.

Women do not seem to be into philosophy much, either. There was Hypatia, the last librarian of the Alexandria Library, but that's about the only one.

well
I would give leeway on the fact women most likely are not able to have access to education to get that far.
theirs a movie called monalisa smile which points out ladies only get a education to get a husband.
this is quite common.

Actually, you just mentioned one. Hypatia was a famous mathematician. Another, more recent one, was Ada Lovelace who had a computer language named after her.

They also used to have to calculate IV drip rates - they would have to take into consideration the bore of the needle and the number of drops per minute to calculate how fast the IV needed to run to get you the proper dosage, and estimate how long it would take before it ran out and had to be replaced.

Electronic pumps do most of that these days.
