Seattle Super Toilets Sell for 0.25% of Original Cost

Seattle has finally gotten a return on the $5 million it invested in space-age public toilets, which actually resulted in even more bums crapping in the streets, but did prove useful to prostitutes and drug-dealers. The toilets sold to a race track owner for $12,500, 0.25% of their original cost.

Yet bureaucrats continue to insist that they can spend your money more wisely than you can.

A surcharge was added to Seattle sewer bills to finance this boondoggle. Don't count on it being repealed. A phone tax imposed in 1898 to help pay for the Spanish-American war wasn't repealed until 2006.

kramer
you say alittle too much
I `m having serious doubts you know what a liberal is.
it`s like communist in the 50`s people say they hate communist but the majority didn`t have a clue what communist is.
good example you tied liberal to communist and yet you`r more communist than my dad in thinking.

it`s fun watching my dad watch the olympics.
every time somebody from china fails my dad say he`s gone.
meaning there are no second chances in china.

oop
My dads is kidding also
but it is harsh in china.
with that large of population it`s very hard to not think of people as disposable.
but despite what the pro-lifers think the one child per family program has some interesting results.
parents put greater attention to thier existing child.
meaning the by product is a kid with a greater chance of parental support to get an education and a career.
the children in china today are quite abit more successful than previous generations.
due to fact parent can actually put full attention that one child.
which makes sense .
in most families the real parent  tend to be the oldest child.
but parents like to fool themselves into thinking thier are raising thier kids.

OK that is interesting.

Are the single children of China becoming Prima Donnas or supermen?

Or is it just a raise in the average?

One thing I saw a lot of in the Olympic coverage was Chinese patriotism , this is natural for any Olympic host but I get the notion that there is a lot of Nationalism in China most of the time.
