Curious about.....
« on: October 22, 2008, 09:56:14 PM »
...all those years the left critcized the amount of $$$ the GOP was taking in, via campaign contributions.  The fact they were taking in more than the Democrats (which was largely false BTW) was tantamount to validating the influence and corruption that was running the party.  Pay X to GOP Y, get Z via a quid pro quo.  I sure remember

And I won't even touch the broken pledge Obama made about accepting only public financing

To date, Obama has pulled in TWICE as much as McCain, in campaign contributions.  Should we now expect criticisms, even condemnations on the probable corruption now infiltrating the Obama campaign??  Naaaaaaaaaa.  Let's watch all the rationalization efforts that explain how perfectly acceptable it is

Obviously, the Republican's campaign coffers were stuffed by fat cats and special interests, Big Biz, the gun lobby, the Oil Industry and the Zionists.  Nobody who had the American people's own interests at heart.

Obama found a way through the internet to appeal directly to the common people and raise their money so that he is beholden to none of those special interests, or probably more accurately, beholden to them less than any previous Republican or Democratic candidate ever was.

I recall reading somewhere Obama had out raised McCain for contributions from oil industry interests and employees. I believe it was a 2 to 1 margin.

Apparently Obama believes citizens should be allowed to exercise freedom of speech in the form of contributions, no matter the sector of industry in which the are employed.

So there is common ground there.

Yeah but when?  Everybody backs a winner.  They're trying to buy their way onto the train before it pulls into the station.  It's a good sign that they're NOT going to waste money on McCain because they know he's gonna lose.

Don't we all?

<<So there is common ground there.>>

I'm so relieved to hear that.

The silence does speak volumes

===========================
What you need to do, sirs, is to pack up all your unanswered bogus questions and volumes of unspoken silence and publish them in a massive compendium of "Volumes of Silence: nonwords of unwisdom".

I bet it would be a great bestseller among all those who find reading painful. You could also have a Books-On-Disc version, with perhaps a prologue of Rush saying nothing, just crumpling paper and banging on the desk.

Let us know when you actually have something of substance to contribute, Xo.  We'll all be waiting with baited breath

It is time to consider whether baited breath is actually better than no breath at all.

It might be like your volumes-speaking silence.

We're still waiting.  This thread involved the vast amounts of money Obama was collecting over McCain, and the expected rationalizations (Tee comes thru like clockwork) sure to follow.
