I don't recall the mainstream media ever mentioning the fact that Blagojevich was being investigated by Fitz. They mentioned Karl Rove's impending indictment for over 2 years, driving down President Bush's approval ratings. Would have hurt Obama that much for Katie Couric to do a single investigative report on Blagojevich? Most of the mainstream media is corrupt, and is keeping people in the dark. This is evidenced by recent surveys showing a vast majority of Obama voters not knowing a lick about current affairs. The worst was when Howard Stern of all people played interviews of Obama voters, but McCain's views were being attributed to Obama, and these Obama voters agreed with every statement. For example, do you agree that Sarah Palin was a good pick for Obama's running mate? They all agreed that she was. I blame the mainstream media for this, in part, for covering up the shortcomings of Democrats.

Your "evidence" again is simply some reporter speculating.  HARDLY any more valid than mine, considering party affiliation, and the long history both Chicago & Illinois have in the world of political scandal.  Nice try though

Actually, I'm REFERENCING the fucking affidavit, moron.  I don't know what in the world could more fit the definition of fucking evidence in your dumbass pea-brain.

Didn't take you long to drop down to knute level, did it.  Where in the fricken affidavit does it make reference to Obama blowing any whistle??   ???  THAT's what you AND the reporter are speculating on.  You keep harping on what a reporter thinks MAY have happened, MINUS the ever-so-important factual back-up/evidence.  Just because the governor is peeved at Obama doesn't equate to Obama blowing any fricken whistle.  IF HE HAD, THAT WOULD BE THE TOP STORY!!

When Blagojevich says on tape that Obama is a motherf*cker 'cause he won't play ball, that kind of, at the very fucking least IMPLIES that Obama wasn't playing ball.

Did I ever say he was??      ::)

Many Americans are total dummies. That is why deceitful advertising is so effective.

You can't blame the media, because the dummies do not watch the news or read papers. When the news is on, they are watching reruns of Let's Make a Deal or some sitcom. There are surely as many dummies that voted for McCain.

Most Obama stickers were labeled Obama/Biden, so the dummies don't read bumperstickers, either.

As for who wins the stupid award, Barack Hussein Obama was elected president. That pretty much answers that question.

Now, what law did Blagojevich actually break? Why did the FBI choose to "stop this before it went any further?" Interesting questions. Don't FBI stings usually allow someone to actually break the law and then arrest them and charge them with that crime? Why would the FBI not allow someone to actually pay for the seat and then bust them both?

This brings us into the realm of speculation, since none of us are privy to the evidence that Fitzgerald has amassed.  I'm guessing that it's no greater than the legal mess it could become had Gov Sonofabich actually appointed someone.  Legally, he's still the governor.  Legally, he has the authority to appoint anyone to the vacant senate seat.  No laws broken, though further investigations might uncover facts to the contrary.  So, perhaps to bite that in the bud, and to give the FBI a break from having to continue to listen to the Governor's knute-like garbage, and with the evidence he had already accrued, they pulled the plug now.

That's what I'd speculate currently

And perhaps Bt or Ami could locate a timeline of this current Fitzgerald investigation on the Governor.  We might better be able to help support or more likely refute the notion that Obama blew the whistle, if this investigation had been going on for some extended time.....that is far longer than Obama ever getting elected
