<<Two percent? Why so much fuss over such a marginal effect?>>

plane, I wish I could find this message someone once e-mailed to me.  It dealt with the importance of time, of one second, of one minute, of one hour, etc., and part of it was, "talk about the unimportance of a minute to some guy who has just missed his train by that much . . ."  Well, that's how I feel about the 2 and 1/2 years.  That is thirty fucking MONTHS, my friend, each one of which is absolutely priceless in this life through which we pass through but once and never return.

What about the 42,000 needless deaths that occur every year, due to lack of insurance, insufficiency of insurance and/or lack of money?  are they just .014% of the total population, or are they human beings with loving family and friends, all devastated by the loss?

There SHOULD be a fuss over "such a marginal effect" because the people involved aren't marginal and beyond sacrificing the lives of 42,000 Americans every year,  asking every single American to sacrifice 2.5 years of their own lives so that some blood-sucking parasite like Steve Hemsley can add another billion to his fortune is just not the way to go.
