dvd question

 I`m been backingup my home vids on dvd and want to know which is best to use
+ or - ?

meaning which is more playable on regular home player.

There is probably no good answer. I've personally seen more DVD players that play the "-" ones, but I'm hardly an expert.

so far the answer seems to be -r since my recorder is -r and from friends at face book . but from expert.
I got nada.

I`ll use it till a better answer comes up and use +r for data storage so it`s not a waste of money.

warning memorex I`ve had a huge of failure rate with them, much worst then generics
