Progress will be incremental
The road map is follows.
Adapt the forums to integrate with a front end that allows us to add features and have an interesting home page. This might mean converting the current board software and bringing forward the posts or switching software and archiving these boards.
Rename 3DHS to something more google friendly so that folks looking for political and other forums can find us. Increase activity so that we are indexed on google higher.
Quadruple active membership. During the Yahoo Club days it was not unusual to have 20+ members online and posting at a time, 24 hours a day. We even had a sub group called the night shift.
Improve quality of the posts by encouraging those who post on the issues and discouraging those who post on personalities.
Possibly include a social networking capability to interact with Facebook etc.
Rebuild a sense of community. We should never put members in a position where they think the insults and generic slurs are just not worth their continued participation, whether they be asian, gay, jewish, black, female or have a political belief system opposite of your own.
Timetable.
Probably take 6 months to a year to finish the project.
