very sad
this little girl had her life stolen away
mother's need to be quite on-guard for these kinds of halfwit drivers...
something needs to be done....but i'm not sure what
driving while texting annoys me to no end
almost always when people creep into your lane
or dont take off when the light turns green
it's more often than not...they are texting or on their cellphone
crimes with no mal-intent make it harder to hammer the defendent
but it does border on being reckless....
sure we can outlaw it....but isnt drinking while driving outlawed already?
high priced traffic tickets could be part of the answer....
but wouldnt it be difficult to actually catch the offender doing it?
i dunno kimba....how can we slow this insanity?
notice i didnt say "stop the insanity"

My guess is they will require all texting enabled cell phones to be GPS enabled. And surrendering your phone to the police for analysis will be as common a requirement as showing license registration and proof of insurance.

pretty sure texting is super easy to find out from the use time. I believe a train accident was done this way

George Carlin once suggested that we should all carry dart guns that could fire a dart with a "stupid " flag on it.
Whenever we saw somone doing something stupid in a car we should shoot it with a stupid flag dart.
When ever a police patroll saw someone driveing with five or more stupid markers on the car he should pull them over and write them a cytation for being stupid in a car.

It would be like voting, but a bit more negative and targeted.

Because most cars today have computer power installed , I think this could really be done , with a radio reciver and a bit of software.

An excellent suggestion from Carlin, but no doubt unconstitutional.

It is impossible to entirely eliminate idiotic driving, but texting while driving should be illegal.
